Through 3 Quarters
The Florida Gators are on the board, but we're still waiting on the Florida Atlantic Owls to respond. Three quarters in and Florida's offense has really been able to impose its will, dominating Florida Atlantic 21 to nothing three quarters in. The Gators have been relying on RB Dameon Pierce, who has punched in two rushing touchdowns, and RB Malik Davis, who has picked up 93 yards on the ground on ten carries.
Florida has been a nightmare for Florida Atlantic's offensive line with three sacks already. We'll see if Florida can continue to haunt the offensive line.

Last Season Records: Florida 8-4; Florida Atlantic 5-4
What to Know
The Florida Gators and the Florida Atlantic Owls will face off at 7:30 p.m. ET Sept. 4 at Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium to kick off their 2021 seasons. The Gators were on the positive side of .500 (8-4) last season and are hoping to kick off an even more successful year. Florida Atlantic also enjoyed a fair amount of success last year, finishing up 5-4.
A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Florida was the best in the nation in passing touchdowns, finishing the 2020 season with 46. Less enviably, Florida Atlantic was 10th worst when it came to passing yards per game last season, with the squad coming up with only 144.4 on average. The good news for Florida Atlantic, of course, is that these forces working against them might not carry over into the new season.
Florida is the favorite in this one, with an expected 23.5-point margin of victory. A win is hardly a sure thing, especially this early in the season, so expect a good game.
